7th ANNUAL SANGA-RITA SHOWDOWN RAISES $35,000 FOR PARENTING MATTERS

The Annual Event is Presented by The Exchange Clubs

Bradenton, FL— The 7th Annual Sanga-Rita Showdown, presented by the local Exchange Clubs, raised a remarkable $35,000 in support of Parenting Matters and their mission to advance the lives of children, together, with their parents. The event, held at Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto, FL saw a record-breaking turnout of more than 300 people in attendance and brought together the top restaurants in the area to showcase their culinary skills and compete for the titles of the best Margarita, Sangria, and Appetizer on the Suncoast. Participating restaurants included: Carrabba’s, Daquiri Deck, Hickory Hallow, Pincher’s, Loaded Cannon Distillery, Sandbar, and Slicker’s Eatery. Chicken Salad Chick showcased delicious sandwiches and sides as the headlining “Lunch Sponsor”. Desserts and additional bites were provided by Popi’s Place, Happy Soul, and Chick-fil-A.

 

After fierce competition, Daquiri Deck emerged as the winner of the best Margarita and Sangria categories, showcasing their popular frozen drinks. The title for the best appetizer went to Carrabba’s for their famed shrimp scampi. “Sanga-Rita Showdown is a wonderful celebration of our community’s diverse and thriving food and beverage scene, all while supporting the important work of Parenting Matters,” said Katie Becker, Executive Director of Parenting Matters.  “We are incredibly grateful to all the restaurants and sponsors, including our major sponsor, Callaghan Tires, whose commitment to community engagement and philanthropy has been instrumental in making this event successful.”
